Contact form

When you submit the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. It is stored in the WordPress database on our servers in Canada. We do not use it for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

Analytics (with consent only)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager to collect anonymized data about how visitors use this site — including pages visited, time on site, and general geographic location (country/region level). This data is processed by Google on servers in the United States. Google’s privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

Analytics cookies are not set until you click “Accept” on the cookie consent banner. You may withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer.

Payment information

Payments for services are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number or payment details. Stripe processes payments on their own servers in the United States under their own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy. By purchasing a service, you agree to Stripe’s terms.

Server logs

Like all web servers, ours automatically records IP addresses, browser types, pages requested, and access times in server logs. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and troubleshooting. They are stored on servers we operate directly in Canada and are retained for a maximum of 30 days before being purged.

  • To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form

  • Stripe — payment processing. Data processed in the United States.

  • WPForms — contact form processing. Data stored in our WordPress database in Canada.

5. Cookies

This site uses the following cookies:

  • jc_consent — stores your cookie consent choice (yes/no). Expires after 365 days. No personal data. Required for consent management.
  • Google Analytics cookies (e.g. _ga, _gid) — set only after you accept analytics cookies. Used to distinguish visitors and track sessions. Expires after 2 years (_ga) or 24 hours (_gid).
  • Cloudflare cookies (cf_clearance, __cf_bm) — functional security cookies set by Cloudflare for bot protection. Not subject to consent under Law 25 as they are strictly necessary.
  • WPForms session cookies — temporary cookies used during form submission. Session duration only.

  • File a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI) if you believe your rights have been violated

7. Data Retention

  • Contact form submissions — retained indefinitely unless you request deletion
  • Server logs — 30 days maximum
  • Analytics data — governed by Google Analytics retention settings (14 months by default)
  • Payment records — retained as required by Canadian tax law (7 years)

8. Data Security

This site is hosted on servers we own and operate directly, protected by a CSF firewall, SSL/TLS encryption, automated security scans, and regular offsite backups. We do not use shared hosting or reseller accounts.

In the event of a data breach affecting Quebec residents, we will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and affected individuals within 72 hours as required by Law 25.

9. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Google Analytics and Stripe process data on servers in the United States. By using this site and consenting to analytics, or by making a purchase, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which has different privacy laws than Canada. Both Google and Stripe maintain appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

10. Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at children under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
